LH Agency Cracks Down on Two Dump Trucks at Illegal TPS in Cilincing

The Jakarta Environmental Agency (LH), cracked down two private dump trucks that were caught dumping garbage in forbidden areas in RW 03, Cilincing Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta.

We'll impose sanctions on the private company

Legal Supervision and Management Division Head, Wahyudi Rudiyanto expressed the activity of the dump trucks had caused residents to become uneasy.

"Garbage at the location was seen piling up. Hence, we're taking action against activities at this illegal waste disposal site (TPS)," he expressed, Monday (1/22) afternoon.

He explained the supervision and action carried out referred to Bylaw Number 3/2013 on Waste Management.

"Article 103 regulates that waste should be disposed of in the proper place and not illegally," he explained.

Hopefully, it could give them as detterent effect in a bid to prevent the same case.

"We'll impose sanctions on the private company that owns this truck. Hopefully, this illegal TPS activity can be stopped immediately," he added.

North Jakarta Economy and Development Assistant, Wawan Budi Rohman added the supervision involved joint personnel of Satpol PP, Transportation Sub-agency, LH Sub-agency, and army/police.

"There are around 30 joint personnel involved. There are rules that must be obeyed for mutual comfort," he stated.

He added the LH Agency wss also building a Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Plant in Rorotan as an intermediate waste disposal and management location.

"Rorotan RDF could be a solution to become a replacement TPS in Nagrak and could absorb the workforce," he stated.
